Connect Google Search Console

Connect Google Search Console to add Google clicks, impressions, query data, countries, and top pages to a project's SEO Performance report. The connection can also provide saved search-performance context to Wizard and MCP.

Before you start

You need a Searcherries project and a Google account with access to the correct Search Console property. If the property has not been added or verified in Google Search Console, complete that setup there first.

Google sign-in for Searcherries and Search Console authorization are separate. Using Google to log in does not connect a property automatically.

Connect a site

  1. Open the project and choose SEO Performance.
  2. Select Connect Google Search Console.
  3. Choose the Google account that can access the website's Search Console data.
  4. Review and approve the requested permissions.
  5. Return to Searcherries and select the appropriate site from the available list.
  6. Select Connect selected site.

A Domain property and a URL-prefix property can cover different scopes. Choose the property whose data you intend to analyze, rather than simply selecting the first similar-looking address.

After saving, allow the report to load. The source card should show Connected when the selected site is ready.

What becomes available

The report can show Google clicks and impressions over time, the question-opportunity table, and top countries, queries, and pages. Availability depends on the data Google returns for the selected site and period.

Search Console can omit some query-level detail, and imported lists have limits. The sum of visible query rows is not guaranteed to match the overall totals.

Change or disconnect the site

Use Change site on the Google card to select a different accessible property. Use Disconnect to remove the Google Search Console connection from this Searcherries project.

Disconnecting this integration does not delete your Google property and does not disconnect Google Analytics or Bing from the project.

If the site is missing

Check that you authorized the correct Google account and that the account has access to the property. If authorization succeeded but the page still asks you to Select site, finish the property-selection step.

If data appears incomplete, compare the same property and dates in Google Search Console and allow for source processing and the next Searcherries refresh.
