Competitors and brand insights

The Competitors report shows the brands identified in AI responses to your tracked questions. It helps you understand who appears alongside your brand and what different platforms highlight about those businesses.

Open a project and select Competitors.

Read the table

The Brand competitors table contains brand names or domains, AI Visibility, Mentions, and Avg rank. Your brand appears in the comparison so you can assess it alongside the others.

AI Visibility is a weighted relative score. Mentions counts recorded appearances. Avg rank describes average position, where a lower number is better. See metric definitions for the differences.

Choose the period and question

Use the report's period selector and All questions selector. To investigate one customer need, choose the relevant question and review which brands appear for that scope.

Changing the scope can change the order and number of competitors. A company in the table is a competitor within the collected answers; it may not be a direct commercial competitor in every part of your business.

Sort, search, and paginate

Use the sortable column headings to change the visible ordering. The Search this page field searches the rows on the current page, so use pagination to inspect other pages as well.

Do not treat a name absent from the current page's search results as absent from the whole report. Check additional pages and the selected question or period.

Expand a brand's insights

Use the expansion arrow on a brand row to open:

  • What each AI highlights: captured observations about the brand, grouped by platform.
  • Platform performance: the number of mentions and Avg rank for each selected platform.

These insights are part of Competitors. You do not need a separate Insights section.

“No highlights captured for this platform” means that the report has no stored highlights for that combination. It does not establish that the platform has no knowledge of the brand.

Turn comparisons into a useful review

Choose a few brands that serve the same audience as you. Compare the attributes AI repeatedly highlights: audience, location, capabilities, specialization, or other distinguishing details.

Then open Citations to inspect the pages supporting those answers. Use the combination to identify information your website should explain more clearly. Treat generated brand summaries as a starting point to verify, especially before repeating factual claims about another business.

If the competitors are consistently unrelated, review the wording and market settings of your customer questions.
