Connect Zapier

The Searcherries integration for Zapier brings your project data into the other apps you use, such as Slack, email, Google Sheets or a CRM. A Zap can start when a project finishes a new AI visibility check or when a new AI answer is stored, and its steps can read a project's summary, AI answers, competitors, citations, Search Console and Bing data, GA4 AI traffic and action plan. The integration is listed in Zapier's app directory.

The integration only reads data. It cannot edit projects or questions, and it does not start an AI check or refresh Search Console, Bing or GA4. Every step returns what Searcherries has already stored, through the REST API. Read about data updates.

Triggers and searches

Triggers start a Zap:

TriggerFires when
New Project CheckA project finishes a new AI visibility check. The primary question is checked daily and the other questions weekly. Watch one project or all of them.
New AI AnswerA new AI answer to a tracked question is stored, with its judgment (prominence, sentiment, drawback, evidence quote) and the URLs it cites. You can filter by question, AI platform and prominence, or keep only flagged answers.

Searches read data inside a Zap:

SearchReturns
Find ProjectA project found by brand name, website or project ID, with its status, tracked AI platforms, connected sources and the date of its latest AI check.
Get Project SummaryA compact snapshot of a project: tracked questions, visibility score and change, answer insights, top competitors, most-cited domains, 30-day Search Console, Bing and GA4 totals, connection health and the latest recommendation.
Get AI AnswersThe stored AI answers to the tracked questions, one row per check and platform, with their judgments, cited URLs and the web searches the platform ran. Turn on Include answer text to add the answer itself.
Get Search PerformanceGoogle Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools data for a 30, 90 or 365-day window: totals, top queries, pages and countries, opportunities, trends, question-shaped Google queries, a daily series or a monthly history.
Get CompetitorsThe brands the AI platforms name for your questions: a ranking that includes your own brand, one brand in detail, or the month-by-month history.
Get CitationsThe URLs or domains the AI platforms cite as sources, with citation counts, platforms, questions and whether they belong to your website.
Get AI TrafficGA4 data for a 30, 90 or 365-day window: AI-referral sessions, users and conversions per AI source, the landing pages AI visitors arrive on, a daily series or a monthly history.
Get Action PlanUp to ten prioritized actions for a business, marketing or SEO audience, each with dated evidence, a suggested owner, a success measure and a link to the report.

The "Get" searches return a single result. Lists inside it, such as top queries or actions, arrive as line items, so a later step can write each row to a spreadsheet or loop over them.

Plans

A free account can connect Zapier and use Find Project, Get Project Summary, Get Search Performance, Get AI Traffic and Get Action Plan. On the free plan the summary leaves out the AI visibility blocks, and search performance comes from Google Search Console only, because Bing Webmaster Tools is part of Starter and Pro.

The AI visibility data needs Starter or Pro, and an active trial counts. That covers both triggers and the Get AI Answers, Get Competitors and Get Citations searches. New Project Check fires only after a completed AI check, so a free project never triggers it. Compare the plans.

Connect your account

  1. Sign in to Searcherries and open MCP.
  2. Open the Other clients tab and find Access tokens.
  3. Enter a name such as "Zapier" and select Create token.
  4. Copy the token right away. It is shown once.
  5. In Zapier, add a Searcherries step to a Zap and connect a new account when Zapier asks for one.
  6. Paste the token into Personal access token and continue.

Zapier names the connection after your first project, for example "Acme Running + 1 more project". The Project field of each step lists the projects of the account that created the token.

The token can read everything that account can see. Revoking it on the MCP page disconnects Zapier too. Each token has an expiry date, shown in the token table; after it expires, create a new token and reconnect the account in Zapier. The token guide explains replacement and revocation.

Example Zaps

Weekly AI visibility report in Slack

This Zap needs Starter or Pro.

  1. Schedule by Zapier: choose Every Week, Monday at 8 a.m.
  2. Searcherries, Get Project Summary: pick the project and leave Period on Last 30 days.
  3. Slack, Send Channel Message: build the message from the summary fields, for example Visibility score, Change vs previous period (percentage points), Named share (% of usable answers), Own brand rank, Latest recommendation summary and Report URL.

For an email report, use Gmail or Email by Zapier in step 3. To post after each daily check instead, start the Zap with New Project Check and map its Project ID into the Project field of the summary step.

Alert on flagged AI answers

This Zap needs Starter or Pro.

  1. Searcherries, New AI Answer: pick the project and turn on Only flagged answers. An answer is flagged when it is off topic, or when it is negative about your brand or names a drawback and a sentence of the answer backs that up.
  2. Slack, Send Direct Message or Email by Zapier, Send Outbound Email: include Question, AI platform, Brand sentiment, Needs attention, Evidence quote and Cited URLs.

To hear about answers that leave your brand out, set Maximum prominence to 1 instead of turning on flagged answers. The trigger then keeps the answers that name your brand in passing or not at all.

Search opportunities in Google Sheets

This Zap works on every plan, for a project with Google Search Console connected.

  1. Schedule by Zapier: choose Every Month, on the 1st.
  2. Searcherries, Get Search Performance: pick the project, leave Source on Google Search Console and Window on Last 30 days, and set Dataset to Opportunities (high impressions, low CTR, long tail).
  3. Google Sheets, Create Multiple Spreadsheet Rows: map the query, clicks, impressions, CTR and position of the high-impression, low-CTR queries to the columns of your sheet.

Each run adds the queries that Google showed often but people rarely clicked. Their pages are the first candidates for a clearer title and description.

Weekly action plan by email

This Zap works on every plan. On the free plan the actions come from Search Console and GA4 data.

  1. Schedule by Zapier: choose Every Week.
  2. Searcherries, Get Action Plan: pick the project and an Audience: business, marketing or SEO. Leave Maximum actions empty for five.
  3. Gmail, Send Email: list Actions: Title, Actions: Next step, Actions: Success measure and Actions: Report URL.

If something does not work

  • Zapier asks you to reconnect Searcherries: the token expired or was revoked. Create a new token on the MCP page and reconnect the account in Zapier.
  • A step says the account needs Starter or Pro: it reads AI answers, competitors or citations, which the free plan does not include.
  • Available is false: the project has no stored data for that source and window. Connect Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 or Bing Webmaster Tools in the project, or wait for the first daily collection.
  • New Project Check does not fire: it fires after a completed AI check, and the primary question is checked once a day. A project whose first check is still running, a paused project and a free project do not trigger it.
  • The Project list is empty or shows other projects: the token belongs to a different Searcherries account, or that account has no project yet.
  • A rate limit message: Searcherries accepts 30 requests per minute on Free, 60 on Starter and 120 on Pro. Zapier retries the step after the wait the API asks for.
